Jeanette and Laurie have over 20 years combined experience in home furnishings, design, merchandising, and home staging and have transformed many interiors over the years. Jeanette is also a licensed South Carolina Realtor and she and the team at Bella understand exactly how to appeal to today’s buyer.

Meet Jeanette
Jeanette’s love of home furnishings began in early childhood where she spent many summers roaming the back halls and showroom of her family’s furniture and reupholstery business in Michigan. After moving to South Carolina in middle school and graduating with a business degree from USC, she proceeded to open her own furniture business on East Bay Street at the age of 23.
For 14 years, she owned and operated Spare Room, a boutique home furnishings store that sold unique furniture and beautiful accessories in downtown Charleston.
Over the years, Jeanette’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to work in other design related fields and to eventually become a licensed real estate agent. While working as a Realtor, Jeanette moonlighted as an independent contractor for a large local staging company, while also offering her staging services to her clients and to Realtors who knew of her talents.
Bringing together her love of home furnishings, her eye for interior design, her skill in retail merchandising, and her understanding of the local real estate market, Jeanette finally found her perfect niche in home staging.
In early 2020, she and Laurie decided to combine their talents and create a new, full-service staging and design company … and, Bella Home Staging was born. Jeanette is passionate about bringing out the beauty in every home and loves using her skill and talent to help homeowners sell their homes faster, while maximizing their returns.
When she’s not working, Jeanette can be found at the beach, traveling, enjoying Charleston and the beautiful Low Country, socializing with friends and family, and spending time with her two boys and her Jack Russell, Roxy.
Meet Laurie
Laurie was born and raised in the beautiful upstate of South Carolina. She grew up in a large family, with two brothers who were builders and another, a real estate broker. Early on, Laurie developed an appreciation and love of design, from the building process to the fully furnished home and the visual impact and comfort it gave from within.
Graduating with a nursing degree from Clemson, Laurie moved to the Charleston area to pursue her nursing career and raise a family. But, her love of interior design was never far from her heart, and this soon led to an opportunity in home staging.
In 2013, she began working for Showhomes, a home staging franchise that was growing quickly. Laurie became a lead stager for Showhomes and continued with the company for 7 years, honing her eye for design and staging skills and learning all she could about the industry. Then, in 2020, she made the decision to start her own business and partnered with Jeanette to form Bella Home Staging.
Laurie is passionate about helping homeowners maximize their home’s appeal through the use of home staging, and enjoys working with Realtors to improve the marketability of their listings. In her spare time, Laurie enjoys working out with friends, spending time with her husband and three daughters, traveling, gardening, and building relationships with people.
